Scuba Rescue Diver/ Advanced Rescue Diver/ First Aid

Class Desription:

The Scuba Rescue Diver course takes you from the training realm of about me to the realm of we and those around us. This course teaches you how to manage risks and effectively handle limited in-water problems and diving emergencies, how to assist and transport divers, and how to perform surface rescues and rescues from depth. The class taught at Grapevine Scuba includes all three certifications (rescue, advanced rescue, and first aid/CPR) and can be adjusted for the current qualifying certifications. First Aid and CPR are required to complete rescue and advanced rescue. This course is a pathway to becoming a NAUI leader.

Prerequisites:

Open Water Certification and at least 15 years old.

Time Requirements

• NAUI e-learning online course at home
• One day of classroom for first aid, CPR, AED, marine life injuries, and O2 provider
• Half day of pool work
• Weekend at the lake for water work and scenarios

Student supplied equipment requirements:

• Typical dive equipment (BCD, regulator, cylinder, weights, wetsuit) RENTALS AVAILABLE
