Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
Class Description
In the NAUI enriched air NITROX (nitrogen-oxygen) diver course, you will learn to choose the proper blend of Nitrox for your dive profile, determine maximum depth limits for your Nitrox mixture, analyze your breathing mixture, plan, and safely execute each dive. The online course will teach you about the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen; advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox; oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of handling oxygen; the concept of Equivalent Air Dephth; use of EAN with standard Air Dive Tables; common gas mixing prodecures; and more.
The advantages of using NITROX rather than air for diving includes:
- Extended bottom times for no-decompression diving
- Lessen your surface interval time
- Reduced possibility of decompression sickness
Prerequisites:
Open Water Certification (can be intergrated in the Open Water course)
